Midterm Assignment
Due February 12, 2011
Complete the first version of your portfolio for presentation to the class. You will have fifteen minutes to present your qualifications and credentials to the group, and you will walk the class through your experience as demonstrated in your portfolio.
For this project, I would like you to track your iterations. Simply put, save each version of your portfolio so that we may compare versions from your first draft through to your final draft. Simply capture screen shots or save pages via your browser if you are doing a dynamic online database-driven site, or you may create several FLA files and SWF output files if you are working in Flash. If you are using a static HTML site, you can submit your project structure as-is.
The student will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Presentation skill: the ability to speak clearly and present materials without noticeable anxiety or verbal tics
- Presentation quality: Student is engaging to the audience, makes eye contact, states goals and objectives for the presentation and matches the presentation to those goals and objectives.
- Presentation design: Presentation is clearly readable at the back of the room, has proper contrast and does not overwhelm the audience with too many words or unimportant details.
- Adherence to the design project grading rubric
