The new beginning…
Posted: December 4th, 2008 | Author: wjm | Filed under: Updates | Tags: wjm | Comments OffHello there.
My name is William, and you may have reached this site in search of information about the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, or in search of a Super Happy Time (coming soon…), or in search of the Most Greatest (also coming soon!) … and even though you got lost along the way, thanks for stopping by! I’ve been doing a lot of housekeeping on the sites lately, and I’m hoping that this new configuration will suit the needs of students, fellow educators, random visitors, and perhaps a family member or two.
I am an instructor of Web Design and Interactive Media at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and I teach a number of courses related to information and interactive media design, screen design, graphics design, Photoshop and digital imaging, and other related design courses. Additionally, I teach a media communications course, a handful of online/Internet marketing courses, and an occasional computer literacy course.
Being a “jack of all trades, master of none” has paid off well for me, but I sometimes feel that I should narrow the scope of my perspective. (That, however, is very unlikely!)
You can read all about me in the About section of the site. I also own and operate a very modest consulting company called williamjmedia LLC and I will be rolling out more information about the company within the next month or so.
I have a handful of registered domains and I intend to use each of these for a particular purpose. Right now, I’m cleaning up the main site, so if you have come here seeking knowledge or a particular resource, leave me a note/comment to let me know what it is you are seeking.
In the coming weeks, you will find some of the posts that I liked from the old blogs, some resources and links that I’ve found to be useful throughout the years, links to my del.icio.us feed, my Twitter feed, my Facebook profile, my LinkedIn profile, my entire digital fingerprint … all here for your browsing (and hopefully not stalking) purposes!
And if you would be so kind, please subscribe to the RSS feed for the site. If you have no idea what RSS means, get on the bandwagon! Sign up.
Peace.
